June 28th was Stephen's wedding. Isaac was the ringbearer. Matt and I had been weary, not knowing how he would do. Well, I will let the pics do the talking. LOL. Oh, and I had to slip in one of Luke of course. How cute was he in his suit?
p.s. Cheurie if you want any of these email me and let me know.

Patch Club
At church, we have Patch Club for the kiddos aged 2-5. Bro. Hall, bless his heart, took on the challenge of teaching the kids. When the club starts again in the fall, I don't know who will teach though because Bro. Hall is being deployed to Iraq for a year. Please pray for him. I believe this will be his third time there. I asked Matt to pray about us teaching, but that went over like a lead balloon. LOL.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago they got to perform for the adults before church started. It was absolutely hilarious. Isaac didn't sing, he just played with the microphone the entire time. He did manage to do his salute. The two girls are the only ones that participated. I am hoping to get a copy from one of the other moms. The performance could win a million dollars from AFVs. Here are a few pics.

She's Married *sniff*
Last weekend Mom and I took the boys and went to Harlan for Nichole's wedding. We left Thursday night and got home late Saturday night. Well, anymore 9:30 is late for me, LOL. Anyway, she was gorgeous. I can't believe that she is an old married woman now. William kept the wedding short and sweet, like I requested for the boys. It started at 3, so I was able to get Luke to sleep before it started and he slept through the whole thing. Isaac just lounged back in Ashley's lap and DIDN'T MOVE! Now, why can't he do that in church????
Here are some pics:
The first is obvious,me and the boys. Second is me and Nichole. Third is the beautiful bride. Fourth is Whitney and Nichole. Fifth is Whitney and Isaac. All he could do is stare at her all weekend. LOL. How many girlfriends does one boy need?

The Cast is Off....and I'm a nervous wreck.
We went to see the Ortho surgeon again today.
Isaac has been in his hard cast for 2 weeks after being in a splint for 4 1/2 weeks. The dr. took the pins out the day he put the hard cast on.
So, today they did x-rays, and the dr. said that the fracture is very nicely healed and the cast can come off.
Isaac FREAKED when he turned the cast saw on. It took both Matt and I to keep him on the table for the dr. to saw it off.
He still won't bend his arm at all. He kept his little fist clenched for a couple of hours. His incision looks really good though. The dr. said the steristrips would come off in a couple of weeks, but they came off in the bathtub tonight.
I am so nervous thinking that he will fall and hurt it again. How am I going to let him in the back yard to play??

Sick kids....AGAIN
My kids are well for about one week and then they get something else. Last week, both of them had a stomach virus. This week, they are both running fevers and have horrible coughs. Poor babies.
Luke slept on me about all day and Isaac just laid on the couch most of the day. Of course, they both livened up when Daddy got home. However, both of them were asleep by 8, which NEVER happens at my house. Hopefully, they will feel better tomorrow.
I am hoping to upload some pics from Easter last weekend tomorrow. I don't have any super good pics though. By the time we got home from church both boys were ready to take off their good clothes.
Today was the only day this week that Matt did not have to work late. They have the worst luck at his plant. We are praying that they will have MANY MANY days of good production without breaking down. They really need it.

Eye-Opener
I was reading through the blogs on my google reader and someone had posted this. It is a devotional from Mountain Wings. Here is the link: http://www.mountainwings.com/past/Sunday.htm
The day is over, you are driving home. You tune in your radio.
You hear a little blurb about a little village in India where
some villagers have died suddenly, strangely, of a flu that has
never been seen before.
It's not influenza, but three or four fellows are dead, and it's
kind of interesting. They're sending some doctors over there to
investigate it.
You don't think much about it, but on Sunday, coming home from
church, you hear another radio spot. Only they say it's not
three villagers, it's 30,000 villagers in the back hills of
this particular area of India, and it's on TV that night. CNN
runs a little blurb; people are heading there from the disease
center in Atlanta because this disease strain has never been
seen before.
By Monday morning when you get up, it's the lead story. For
it's not just India; it's Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and
before you know it, you're hearing this story everywhere and
they have coined it now as "the mystery flu".
The President has made some comment that he and everyone are
praying and hoping that all will go well over there. But
everyone is wondering, "How are we going to contain it?"
That's when the President of France makes an announcement that
shocks Europe. He is closing their borders. No flights from
India, Pakistan, or any of the countries where this thing has
been seen.
That night you are watching a little bit of CNN before going
to
bed. Your jaw hits your chest when a weeping woman is
translated from a French news program into English: "There's a
man lying in a hospital in Paris dying of the mystery flu."
It has come to Europe. Panic strikes.
As best they can tell, once you get it, you have it for a week
and you don't know it. Then you have four days of unbelievable
symptoms.
Then you die. Britain closes it's borders, but it's too late.
South Hampton, Liverpool, North Hampton, and it's Tuesday
morning when the President of the United States makes the
following announcement:
"Due to a national security risk, all flights to and from
Europe and Asia have been canceled. If your loved ones are
overseas, I'm sorry. They cannot come back until we find a cure
for this thing."
Within four days our nation has been plunged into an
unbelievable fear.
People are selling little masks for your face. People are
talking about what if it comes to this country, and preachers
on Tuesday are saying, "It's the scourge of God.
"It's Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting
when somebody runs in from the parking lot and says,
"Turn on a radio, turn on a radio." While the church listens
to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it,
the announcement is made,"
Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from the
mystery flu."
Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the
country.
People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote.
Nothing is working. California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida,
Massachusetts.
It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders.
Then, all of a sudden the news comes out.
The code has been broken.
A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made.
It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been
infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest,
through all those channels of emergency broadcasting, everyone
is asked to do one simple thing:
"Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken.
That's all we ask of you. When you hear the sirens go off in
your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and
safely to the hospitals."
Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on
that Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got
nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking
blood and putting labels on it.
Your wife and your kids are out there, and they take your
blood type and they say, "Wait here in the parking lot and if
we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home."
You stand around scared with your neighbors, wondering what in
the world is going on, and that this is the end of the world.
Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital
screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What?
He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says,
"Daddy, that's me."
Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy.
"Wait a minute, hold it!" And they say, "It's okay, his blood
is clean. His blood is pure. We want to make sure he doesn't
have the disease. We think he has got the right type."
Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses,
crying and hugging one another some are even laughing. It's
the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an
old doctor walks up to you and says,
"Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect.
It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine."
As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full
of folks, people are screaming and praying and laughing and
crying.
But then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and your wife aside
and says, "May we see you for a moment? We didn't realize
that the donor would be a minor and we need. . . we need you
to sign a consent form."
You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of
blood to be taken is empty.
"H-h-h-how many pints?"
And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says,
"We had no idea it would be a little child.
We weren't prepared. We need it all!"
"But but..."
"You don't understand. We are talking about the world here.
Please sign. We - we need it all, we need it all!"
"But can't you give him a transfusion?"
"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign? Would you
sign?" In numb silence you do. Then they say, "Would you like
to have a moment with him before we begin?"
Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he
sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?" Can
you take his hands and say, "Son, your mommy and I love you,
and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't
just have to be. Do you understand that?"
And when that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry,
we've - we've got to get started. People all over the world
are dying." Can you leave? Can you walk out while he is
saying,
"Dad? Mom? Dad? Why - why have you forsaken me?"
And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your
son, and some folks sleep through it, and some folks don't
even come because they go to the lake, and some folks come
with a pretentious smile and just pretend to care. Would you
want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED!
DON'T YOU CARE?"
Is that what God is saying?
"MY SON DIED. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"
"Father, seeing it from your eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe
now we begin to comprehend the great love you have for us.
Amen "

Bwoke Ahm
Yes, I know how to spell, but that is the closest I can get to "Isaac-speak" for his ailment. Poor little Isaac fell off the end of his bed and broke his left arm just above the elbow. And, when Isaac does something he really does it, cause he snapped the bone right in two.
So, to make a long story short, we spent the night in 2 ERs, got a room at the children's hospital at 3am, and he went to surgery at 730am. He has 2 pins in his arm that will come out in 2 more weeks, which the doctor told me yesterday. And boy, do I have a story about our appt.
Ok, I will tell you all about it. His appt. was at 1030. I got out to start the van at 845. Yup, won't start. So, I call Matt. And I call him again and again and again and again. You get the picture. No one would answer the underground mine phone either. GREAT! So, by now it is 930 and there is no way I will make it there in time. I call the dr's office and reschedule for 1:15.
I finally get ahold of Matt and tell him what is going on. He is going to leave work at 11, come home and get us, and then we will go to the appt. We finally get there and I sign Isaac in. The receptionist tells me she will call me up for paperwork. We sit for 20 minutes. I go back up to the window and ask about paperwork. "Ummm, Ma'am, his appt. was for 1030. I skipped over him." I think my eyes were about to bug out of my head. I told her we rescheduled for 1:15, and I still had not filled out paperwork. "Ok, well I will try and fit you in sometime." FIT ME IN?!? I had an appt. So, needless to say, we sit for another hour and a half. Once we are finally called back they take 2 x-rays, tell me everything looks great, and they will see me next week. I was about to see red. I don't want to go back next week. :(
Since you made it through that epic story, here is a pic of my little bwoke ahm man.
Yes, it is blurry, because even a broken arm doesn't slow Isaac down. And, he is wearing his new pjs from his Aunt Ree that I have to wash EVERYDAY so he can wear them again.
Here is a few pictures also from Isaac and Luke playing in the snow earlier this week. Isaac loved it, of course, Luke was ready to come in after 5 minutes. As soon as I had his snow suit off though he was crying at the door wanting to go back out.

Decisions, decisions.
I cannot make a decision to save my life. It doesn't matter what it is I have to have someone else's opinion. However, I know one thing. I want my children to go to the right school. Last night at our church (We finally joined last Sunday YAY!!!), there was a meeting about the school the church is going to be starting. Isaac would start in the fall of '09. The tuition is not bad at all. However, gas will kill us. We will have to spend 3 times the amount of tuition on gas each month. We are going to start praying now that somehow the Lord will give us what we need in order to send the boys to school here. Otherwise, I will be home-schooling. And, Lord knows I would need LOTS more patience for that.

Life is normal again.
Well, I finally have my computer back. Actually, I have had it back since Saturday, but I haven't had time to sit down and post since then. When all the storms went through Kentucky my modem was fried by lightning and somehow that messed up a network adaptor card on my computer. Yeah, whatever that is. Lucky for me, Vanya's husband, Keith, volunteered to fix it for me. Yeah, I love him. And Vanya knows it too. ;) So, I took the computer to Vanya in Lexington and I had to wait ONE WHOLE WEEK to get it back. Matt and I went Saturday night to get it. Can I just say how nice it was to go out with my husband for one night and not have to worry about the boys? Thanks, Mom for coming to stay with them. And, Matt was like a worried Mommy about them. Always saying, "Do you think we have been gone too long?" No, now shut up and let me enjoy my 5 hours away from them. LOL. We went to Longhorn for dinner and to Dress Barn so I could exchange a dress. I did get my Easter dress. I can't wait to wear it. And, I even know another dress I am going to somehow talk Matt into.
Sunday we still didn't join Lincoln Trail. Bro. Harris had a sick little girl so his family wasn't at church. So, next Sunday I guess. Isaac started PeeWee Club. He loved it and the little sailor hat they gave him to wear.
And, can I just say that even though I had no computer for a whole week, I did not get any scrapping done or any cards made?!? Sad, I know. My house was a little neater though. I was so bored I did some deep cleaning.

New Background
Everyone that knows me knows that I love purple. So, when I saw this template, I had to have it. Then, I felt like I needed to post something. Too bad, I have nothing to say. Slow day around here today. Straightened up the house and went to the grocery store. Same ole stuff.
I tried to make a few cards tonight but I just didn't have it in me. Could be because Luke was crying at my feet and Isaac was trying to sit on top of me.
I didn't go to church tonight because Isaac doesn't feel good. When that boy lays on the couch with a blanket of his own accord, you know he doesn't feel right. So, Matt went and I stayed with the boys.
Hopefully tomorrow Isaac will feel better. Better be off to bed in case he is sick tonight.

Home Again
I am home again after visiting family and friends in Indy. It was nice to go back and see everyone. Really good to be back at Faith for church. I need to make the effort to go back more often. Hard to do though with Isaac in preschool now. It felt good to be able to talk to friends in person instead of on the phone or internet. I loved being able to spend time with my mom. I miss everyone. : (
We celebrated Luke's birthday. Kelly was nice enough to let me book her house. Man, did he love cake. Risa got this pic of him:
But, what doesn't the boy love food wise? I can't believe he will be one. Time just flies by. Makes me realize how much I need to cherish every single day with my boys. I am so lucky to be able to be at home with them now.
OH, Hi to Cheurie and Jon if you remember the name of my blog. Since you drug it out of me.

Name Frame
Nothing interesting happening here today. Isaac went back to school. Why they had the preschool go back to school for one day and then get 3 days off is beyond me. He didn't want to listen today. Big shocker. Hopefully, someday soon, it will click somewhere in him that he needs to listen at school. Oh, and with potty-training too. Anyway, I am itching to scrapbook. However, I just can't take Luke down in the basement with me. It is way too cold down there. So, I dug around on my computer and found something I made a while ago.
June is a big month for us. There is my mom's birthday, Matt's mom's birthday, my parent's anniversary, our anniversary, and a few friends birthdays also. Anyway, for our moms' birthdays I decided to make name frames for them.
I bought the frames at Walmart. The cardstock and stamps are all SU. It is amazing how their hands have grown just since June. : (

Bored, bored, bored
Well, I must be pretty bored to actually start a blog. However, as much time as I spend in front of this stupid computer, I may as well do something fun. And maybe I will actually remember to post on this. Cause the last time I cracked open my journal I believe it was October. Shameful.
So, this is just my little corner. Somewhere for me to talk about my boys, my husband, my life, maybe even share some scrappin' projects. Well, when it gets warmer anyway. My basement has subzero temperatures right now.
