The Cast is Off....and I'm a nervous wreck.

We went to see the Ortho surgeon again today.

Isaac has been in his hard cast for 2 weeks after being in a splint for 4 1/2 weeks. The dr. took the pins out the day he put the hard cast on.

So, today they did x-rays, and the dr. said that the fracture is very nicely healed and the cast can come off.

Isaac FREAKED when he turned the cast saw on. It took both Matt and I to keep him on the table for the dr. to saw it off.

He still won't bend his arm at all. He kept his little fist clenched for a couple of hours. His incision looks really good though. The dr. said the steristrips would come off in a couple of weeks, but they came off in the bathtub tonight.

I am so nervous thinking that he will fall and hurt it again. How am I going to let him in the back yard to play??
